I had a mixed experience at Melia London Kensington. The location couldn't be better, right near Gloucester Road tube station, making it super convenient for sightseeing. However, I found the room smaller than expected, and some housekeeping issues left me disappointed. The service was friendly, but I missed out on several perks associated with my loyalty status that I was looking forward to, which really affected my overall impression.

Rooms
5.0
The room was quite small, not as spacious as the 'Superior Twin' advertised. I struggled to find space for my luggage, which made my stay a bit uncomfortable.
Service

The staff were friendly and professional, which I appreciated, but I didn't receive the full benefits of my frequent traveler status during my stay. This oversight was disappointing.

7.2/10

My stay at Melia London Kensington was a mixed bag. The hotel's location was fantastic, with easy access to attractions and great dining options close by. However, the issues I encountered with the room and service left me a bit disappointed. I did appreciate the warm and friendly staff, which helped uplift my experience.

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in was cozy but not what I expected. on arrival, I found it was located in the basement with an unpleasant view. After a room change, I ended up in a higher room which still had issues. The bathroom was cramped, and there was a plumbing issue that took time to resolve.
Service
5.0
Although the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the service often fell short. I experienced some delays with room service and had to remind the front desk about housekeeping. This detracted from my overall experience, despite their efforts to be accommodating.
Location
9.0
The location was definitely a highlight. just a five-minute walk to Gloucester Road tube station, and attractions like the Natural History Museum were within easy reach. It made exploring London a breeze.
Dining
6.0
The dining scene nearby was vibrant, with many excellent choices for meals. Unfortunately, the hotel’s restaurant wasn't open, but I appreciated the bar staff's willingness to help with recommendations for nearby eateries.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities had potential but fell short in execution. The promised services often lacked follow-through, and I encountered issues with plumbing that should have been easily resolved.

I had a lovely time during my stay, especially due to the welcoming staff and beautiful decor embellished with William Morris designs. However, some inconveniences arose, like check-in delays and limited breakfast service on busy mornings. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, highlighted by the comfort of my Premium King Room and the vibrant location near key attractions.

Rooms
10.0
The Premium King Room was magnificent, with high ceilings, beautiful décor, and thoughtful amenities like a Nespresso machine. The cleanliness and attention to detail made it feel inviting, though I noticed the bathroom was modern but compact.
Service
10.0
The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was enjoyable, from the warm welcome at check-in to the helpful suggestions for exploring London. Their friendly demeanor truly made a difference, although I did have to wait longer than expected for some requests.
Location
10.0
The hotel’s location was perfect for sightseeing, with easy access to bus and tube lines and numerous nearby attractions. I loved being a short walk away from the museums and restaurants, making it very convenient for my itinerary.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was quite decent, featuring a good selection, but I felt the service could have been quicker during peak times. I think a bit more staff presence in the dining area would enhance the experience, especially with a busy morning crowd.
Facilities
8.0
The gym was clean and well-equipped, perfect for a quick workout before my day. However, I found the overall dining aspects could use improvement, with room service being a bit slow during my stay.

5.6/10

I loved the aesthetics and location of Melia London Kensington; it’s right by Gloucester Road tube station, making sightseeing a breeze. However, I had a disheartening experience with a missing souvenir bag that held sentimental value. it was never found. My room was comfortable with decent amenities, but the service at check-in felt unnecessarily bureaucratic and the staff could have been more welcoming.

Rooms
6.0
My room was cozy and well-decorated, with a comfortable bed and nice linens. It was clean and offered the essentials, though I did have issues with the TV remote and sink, which were frustrating during my stay.
Service
6.0
While I found the front desk staff polite, they seemed reserved and indifferent at times, making the check-in process feel more tedious than it should have. They attempted to help with the lost bag, which I appreciated, but I expected a more attentive overall experience.
Location

The hotel's location is perfect for exploring London, situated just a short walk from Gloucester Road station and many attractions like the Natural History Museum. I couldn't have asked for a better spot to base my adventures from.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Melia London Kensington. On one hand, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, which made my stay feel welcoming. The hotel's location near Gloucester Road tube station was convenient for getting around the city. However, I found my room to be smaller and less updated than I expected, which was a letdown. Overall, the flaws in the room made it hard to rate my experience higher.

Rooms
6.0
My room felt small and dated, particularly the bathroom, which limited storage. The cold bathroom floor was uncomfortable, but the bed was comfy and the room was clean.
Service

The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel welcome and addressing my requests promptly.
Location

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the Gloucester Road tube station, and close to several eateries.
